Submissions of IRB protocols are required in two formats: paper and electronic.

1.  The original paper hard copy of the IRB application and supporting documents, complete with the required original signatures and Consent Form on letterhead paper, must be delivered to the IRB office at:

          Seton Hall University

Office of the Institutional Review Board

          Presidents Hall – 3rd Floor

          400 South Orange Avenue

          South Orange, NJ 07079

2.  The entire IRB application must also be submitted electronically to the following address: irb@shu.edu.  Documents including forms, letterhead stationery, original signatures, etc. must also be submitted as scanned pdf documents (no more than 3-5 megabytes).

Email submissions without the paper hard copy original will not be considered.

Scanning Requirements:   Seton Hall researchers must have their documents scanned in for them at the Teaching, Learning & Technology Center (TLTC) at no chargeTLTC is open during normal University hours to serve you. No need to call or email ahead.

Do not send documents scanned from a site other than TLTC since the university computer system is not always able to handle the format.  Documents scanned from a site other than TLTC may result in a researcher's application review being delayed because it is not readable.
