Undergraduate students should file their Application for Degree with the Office of the Registrar in Enrollment Services by October 1 of the year preceding their anticipated graduation date. Applications are available in the Enrollment Services in Bayley Hall, as well as in most departmental offices. Students may also file their application on-line within Web for Students. The application appears under the ‘Student Records’ menu.
Following the preregistration period of their anticipated semester of
completion, the Registrar’s Office will review the academic records of students
who have filed an Application for Degree for that semester. Students who
appear to be eligible for their degrees will be advanced to degree candidacy.
Students who appear to have unresolved degree eligibility problems will
receive notification of these discrepancies from their degree evaluator
in the Registrar’s Office. This notification will include specific information
regarding their eligibility issues and a deadline for resolving them. Upon
receipt of a discrepancy notice, students must consult immediately with
their academic adviser who will assist in resolving outstanding problems
in order to establish degree candidacy.
Students are encouraged to review their degree audit on-line as this audit
is the basis for degree eligibility.
