All transfer students who bring fewer than 30 credits to the university are advised in Freshman Studies and should make an appointment with Professor Robin Cunningham (973-275-2159). These students are required to take CPSY 1101 University Life their first semester on campus. Each transfer student is also assigned a Peer Adviser to help with the transition to Seton Hall.
Transfer Students with fewer than 30 credits
Transfer students who have fewer than 30 credits will be
assigned to work with the Transfer Mentor in Freshman Studies, Prof.
Robin Cunningham, 973-275-2159. Prof. Cunningham's office is in Mooney
Hall, Room 15.
Any student transferring to Seton Hall who has not taken college level
math and English must take the placement tests. These can be arranged by
contacting Sheena Collum at 973-275-2091.
Transfer Students accepted into the College of Education and Human Services
Please note that, due to NJ Department of Education regulations, there may be some courses that will not count (transfer) towards a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.
Transfer Students with 30+ credits
Students who enter into the University with a major and more
than 30 credits should see the chair person of the department for
advising.
Students that are undecided and are classified as ‘pre-art’ or
‘pre-science’ will be advised by selected faculty with the College of
Arts and Sciences. All students should contact the Dean’s Office (130 Fahy Hall) for an appointment.
Student’s may also consult with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate
Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Christopher Kaiser,
(973) 761-9430, for
assistance with articulation and advising.

Official transcripts must be submitted with the a completed
application form and fee. Candidates with fewer than 24 credits at the
time of application must also submit SAT and ACT scores.
Decisions for admission are made on a rolling basis by the Committee on
Admissions.
All previously earned college credit is evaluated for standing at Seton
Hall. Seton Hall will accept up to 100 credits of college-level courses
completed with a “C” or better at accredited colleges and universities.
All outside courses may be evaluated by the faculty chairs of the
appropriate department for articulation into a Seton Hall course.
Students should bring a course description and when possible a syllabus
for the chairperson to consider.
Students with an A.A. or A.S. degree from an accredited two-year college
will be considered for core-waiver approval with the exception of
courses in Ethics and Philosophy and Religious Studies. There are
exceptions to this waiver for specific programs and Colleges.
