  • Examine the revisions and processes under which the mission and goals of the University were revised since 1994. Review statements of mission, goals and objectives that define Seton Hall University's role in the larger contexts of higher education, Catholic institutions of higher learning and service to its constituents and ensure they are clearly articulated.

  1. Long-term goals and objectives are consistent with the mission.
  2. Goals and objectives are focused on student learning and institutional improvement.
  3. The mission, goals and objectives are effectively disseminated to new faculty staff and students and there is follow-up to ensure that the community is committed to those goals.
  4. The academic curriculum and other University activities are designed and evaluated to ensure that they are consistent with the stated mission and goals.
  5. The mission, goals and objectives are periodically reviewed as a part of the strategic planning process and the results of these reviews are implemented.
